I am a 38 year old mother of 2. I work full time as a teacher so the school year is hectic for me to say the least. I started running when my youngest was 3 years old because I need something for me. I was determined to complete the Disney Princess Half Marathon. I found a training program for the race and I used that for the next 2 years. During that time, I was able to complete 13 half marathons and a full marathon but something was missing. I was improving but I wasn't improving at the rate I wanted to.
At this point, I connected with Lee to be my coach. I needed to change how I was training and how I was running. To be honest, it was scary but Lee never made it feel overwhelming. Each workout was planned just for me and for what was going on in my life. He believed in me when I was unsure and he knew what I could do before I even knew.
My first big hurdle was to complete my second marathon but this time I wanted to cut almost an hour off my time. With Lee's help, encouragement and guidance I finished in under my goal time AND I felt so much better than I had after my first one. My next goal was I wanted to cut down my half marathon time. This required me to work hard and to trust in myself as much as Lee trusted in me. Again, with his help and encouragement, I exceeded my goal again. I have never been so proud of myself as when I crossed the finish line I found out my official time.
None of this would have been possible without the help of Lee and his coaching. I am now on goal 3 and want to drop my half marathon time even more. I can't wait to see how far Lee can push me.
